Rococo Punk! AKA SUPER VINTAGE FUN TIMES

So this past weekend at #ConCarolinas some friends and I decided to go dressed in Rococo Punk! For those of you who don't know that is when you blend the fashion of the Rococo (sometimes called the Georgian Period) with the hard hitting statements of Punk Rock....This look was very popular once super rocker Adam Ant shot several of his videos in the Rococo Punk style!

SWOON
More recently however, the look gained even more popularity when the 2006 Sofia Coppola film Marie Antoinette came out! What a feast for the eyes! This sympathetic look at the life of the doomed French queen was over laid by punk and new wave music ( check out the soundtrack here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marie_Antoinette_(soundtrack) )

You can read a great article on the rise of Rococo Punk here: https://steampunk.wonderhowto.com/news/alternate-history-steampunk-rococopunk-0141206/

So ready to see my look? I titled this one Red, White, and F*ck You!

First let me take a selfie!

Everything you are seeing I made myself!
